Founded in Damascus in 1986, Atassi Gallery has played a prominent role in the Syrian and Arab art scene. Throughout its years of activity, the gallery has organised exhibitions by artists from across the Arab world, documented their work in an extensive visual archive, and focused on highlighting modern and contemporary artistic practices, particularly by Syrian and Palestinian artists. DESCRIPTION

The Atassi Gallery collection is a rich visual archive documenting exhibitions held at the gallery in Damascus during the 1990s and early 2000s, featuring the participation of several Palestinian artists, such as Kamal Boullata and Samia Halabi.
