A Jordanian director and cinema history researcher, born in the city of Al-Karak in Jordan. She dedicated her life to documenting the Palestinian struggle through cinema and cultural work. She was among the first founders of the Palestinian Cinema Institution in Beirut during the 1970s, alongside pioneering directors such as Mustafa Abu Ali (who later became her husband), Hani Jawhariyyeh, and Sulafa Jadallah. She played an active role in building a Palestinian cinematic archive in exile, collecting and preserving films and photographs that document various stages of the Palestinian armed and cultural struggle. In addition to her cinematic work, Habashneh was involved in education and social activism, particularly with women and children in Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.
