Ragheb Kayed was born in Sebastia village, located in Nablus district, in 1919. He attended the schools of Sebastia and Nablus. He worked in the field of teaching in 1941, serving as a non-formal teacher until 1947. Later, he was appointed a formal teacher by the Education Department of the Mandate Government of Palestine. Following the 1948 Nakba, he continued to work as a school teacher in Sebastia, an-Naqura and Deir Sharaf until he reached retirement age in 1977. He died in 1985.

In addition, it features a variety of documents dating back to multiple periods extending from 1850 until the 1990s, such as the deeds of plots of land that used to belong to the Kayed family in the villages of Ijnisinya and Sebastia, both located in Nablus district, Ottoman-era tax and tithe receipts, and several Khaqani bonds. It also features documents related to Ragheb Kayed and his work as a teacher from 1941 to 1977, including correspondence pertaining to appointments, retirement benefits, and others.
