BIOGRAPHY

The Salfit Women Charity was established in 1965 as the first women's society aimed at empowering women, establishing a kindergarten in Salfit, and fighting illiteracy among women. The Charity supported many community and charitable activities, the most important of which was the supervision of a centre for people with special needs in Salfit. The idea of establishing the Charity was the brainchild of the educator Amin Awwad and his wife, Rahma Awwad.
