Born in 1947 in Hebron, Nabil Yousef Amr is a politician who has served as an ambassador, a former minister in the Palestinian Authority and an advisor to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for culture and media affairs. He was subject to a failed assassination attempt in 2004, leading to the amputation of his right leg.

The Nabil Amr Collection includes several photographs that cover his political life in the course of his work as a representative of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) in the former Soviet Union and his activity with PLO between 1970 and 1999.
