BIOGRAPHY

Al-Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque is a specialized non-governmental Palestinian cultural institution established in 1970 in Jerusalem. In 2000, the Theatre was opened in Ramallah. The Theatre works to activate the cultural life in Palestine by producing theatrical works; hosting artistic performances in the fields of theatre, music and dance; showing daily cinematic films; and organizing not only specialized film weeks and festivals but also cultural and artistic programmes, activities and courses.

DESCRIPTION

The Al-Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque Collection consists of several posters, brochures, and scripts for plays shown on the stage of the Theatre during 1970, including scripts for works by George Ibrahim, music recordings of theatrical performances, and documentaries. It also consists of photographs of some of the artworks displayed on stage.
