Emile Habibi is a politician, journalist, and writer from Haifa who was born in 1921. Habibi held many partisan political positions in the Palestinian Communist Party and the Israeli Communist Party, and served as a member of the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset. He is the author of several literary works and was an editor and a journalist for several Arab newspapers in the 1948 Occupied Palestinian Territory, such as al-Ittihad Newspaper. He died in 1996.
