Tawfiq Kana'na, from 'Arrabat al-Battuf, was a Communist Party activist in the 1948 Occupied Palestinian Territory, especially during the military rule period. He held the position of secretary of the al-Battuf and Shefa Amr sectors of the Communist Youth, and became a member of the Central Committee and the Political Bureau, and a regional secretary of the same party.

The Tawfiq Kana'na Collection includes many photographs documenting his activities in the Communist Party, in addition to his membership card in the Israeli Communist Youth League.
