Kamal Shamshoum studied at Birzeit College in 1957, and served as a teaching assistant of physical education in the College in 1960. He completed his studies in Austria, graduating from the College of Physical Education with a high diploma in 1965. After that, he was responsible for the Physical Education Program at Birzeit University, which involved teaching compulsory classes, training sports teams, and preparing annual sports festivals and shows.
