The Popular Theater was established in Jordan in 1991, under the name of the Popular Theater Society. It works to develop cultural life through programmes and projects targeting children, women and youth. Theatrical drama is the focus of Theater work. The Theater organizes the Ramadan Lanterns Festival, the spring theatrical season, and the Summer Arts and Heritage Camp annually, as well as specialized training courses in acting, performing arts, and the art of the storyteller.
