BIOGRAPHY

Yasser Amro was born in 1930 in the village of Dura, located in Hebron district. He obtained a bachelor's degree in Law from Damascus University and a license in law in 1961. He held several influential positions in the Palestinian political, social and educational history, serving as a member of the Jordanian Parliament, a member of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) as well as the first Minister of Education in the Palestinian Authority in 1994.

DESCRIPTION

The Yasser Amro Collection, which Yasser's son, Thaer, shared with the Palestinian Museum, includes a set of photographs that document the history of Yasser's work in the political and educational spheres. The collection also contains various photographs of relatives and friends from the village of Dura and its families, which reflect several aspects of Palestinian social life in different stages.
