François Abou Salem is an actor and director of French origins, whose real name is François Gaspard. Along with his wife, director Jacqui Lubeck, François established the Palestinian National Theater "El-Hakawati" in 1975 in Jerusalem, considered one of the most important Palestinian theatres.

The collection includes pictures of François Abou Salem and performances he gave at the Hakawati Theatre, as well as posters for Palestinian art festivals in Jerusalem, and paintings.
