BIOGRAPHY

The Young Women Muslim Association (YWMA) was founded in February 1979 at the initiative of a group of Jerusalemite women, led by the late Nuzha Nusseibeh. YWMA obtained a plot of land from the Islamic Endowments (Awqaf) Department to establish a cultural centre and a secondary school for young Muslim women. The construction of the school in Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in Jerusalem was funded thanks to the support received from the Islamic Bank.
