Coming from the town of Yabad, located in the Jenin district, Karam Mohammad Hajj Thiab Zaid al-Kilani worked on collecting and preserving documents related to his family. Al-Kilani wrote his first book on the lineage of his family in 2019.

This is a family archive related to the Zaid al-Kilani family. The collection contains several historical documents dating back to the Ottoman, British and Jordanian periods and the Israeli military rule, ranging from sale and purchase deeds, inheritance papers, testimonies and old Ottoman manuscripts, in addition to books on magic, land registration deeds, wills, notebooks, accounts, notes, municipal receipts for water and electricity, licenses to grow tobacco and smoke nurseries, passports, burial permits, and Jordanian and Ottoman certificates. Moreover, several of these documents belong to Zaid's grandfather, Mahmoud bin Mohammad bin al-Kilani, when he was the mukhtar of the village of Ya'bad during Ottoman rule.
