Ibrahim Fanni is a Palestinian archaeologist and architect who worked in the field of Palestinian antiquities and excavations since the Jordanian Rule over the West Bank and beyond. He supervised several important excavations in Nablus, including in Tal Balata, Mount Gerizim and others.
show more show lessThe Ibrahim Fanni Collection contains draft photographs (negatives) of several excavations in Nablus, especially in the area of Tal Balata, the old town in Nablus, the Mount Gerizim area, south of the city, and the town of Sebastia, in which Fanni participated. It also contains several photographs of Jerusalem and of the excavation work under al-Aqsa Mosque, in the Ein Silwan (Silwan Spring) area and the Moroccan Quarter. The collection also includes a study on the antiquities of Sebastia, letters addressed to Fanni from local and international bodies in his capacity as working in the field of antiquities, and some cards related to his work.
