Mai Hammash is a Palestinian refugee living in Dheisheh Palestinian Refugee Camp. She holds a master's degree in Israeli studies from Birzeit University. Hammash photographed and documented the phrases, slogans, and drawings scrawled on the walls of the Camp.

The Mai Hammash Collection includes several photographs of slogans and phrases scrawled on the walls of Dheisheh Palestinian Refugee Camp, in addition to murals and posters that include photographs and names of shaheeds and prisoners.
