Born in 1910 in Tulkarm, Saadeh Saleh al-Jallad (Abu Saud) is a Palestinian general and military commander, and one of the most prominent Palestinian military figures in the twentieth century. He was commander of the Palestinian police during the British Mandate, commander of Jerusalem during the period of Jordanian Rule of the West Bank, and close to the Jordanian royal family. He was also a personal military accompaniment to both the Jordanian Kings Abdullah I bin al-Hussein and Hussein bin Talal, before he died on 27 January 1995.

DESCRIPTION

The collection belongs to Muhannad's father, Saadeh al-Jallad, and documents his work in the military service through photographs. It also contains a service book issued by the British Mandate Government in 1948.
