Hanna Ibrahim is a Palestinian poet, journalist and author. He was born in the village of al-Bi'na in Upper Galilee. His father was a faction leader in the Izz al-Din al-Qassam movement. In 1948, he joined the National Liberation League in Palestine and later joined the Israeli Communist Party. In 1967, he travelled to the Soviet Union to study philosophy, and there he translated several stories from Russian literature. In 1969, Ibrahim took over the position of director of al-Ittihad Press, and then an editor in the same newspaper. He was dismissed from the Israeli Communist Party in 1989, after which he joined the Arab Democratic Party. He has many works of poetry.
