A Press Conference for the Family of Omar al-Qasim, Jerusalem, 1989
Taken in 1989, this photograph shows members of Omar al-Qasim's family speaking to foreign journalists and narrating his resistance biography during a press conference held by the family at their house in the Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in Jerusalem. This press conference was held during al-Qasim's final stage of illness in prison, and among those present are Samia al-Liftawi, Suhail al-Barghouthi and Ali al-Qasim.
