Releasing Hostages from Algeria Airport During the Lebanese Civil War

A magazine clipping containing a colour photograph of hostages who were released from Algeria Airport. This came within the so-called hostage crisis in Lebanon, during which 104 hostages were kidnapped, mostly Americans and Europeans. The kidnapping of the hostages coincided with the Israeli Invasion of Lebanon and the Lebanese Civil War. The kidnappings came to pressure the United States and European countries to change their policy towards Lebanon.
