A black-and-white photograph of Samya Bamya's family at their house in Beirut. Her mother, Najat al-Jazaʾiry, is from Algeria is a descendant of Emir Abdul-Qader al-Jazaʾiry. Her father Yusef Bamya, who owns the Bamya Bus Company, is from Jaffa and was expelled to Beirut after the Nakba. Her siblings Randa, Mayyada, and Muṣtafa Bamya are in the photograph as well.
