A Photograph of "Samya Bamya in Beirut", 1965
A black-and-white photograph of Samya Bamya standing in the balcony of her family's house in Beirut. Bamya completed her school education at the National Protestant College in Beirut and continued her higher education later as well. After joining the ranks of the PLO's Palestinian Revolution in Beirut, she worked with the women's movement in Shatila Palestinian Refugee Camp. Given her fluency in both English and French, she worked at Fate's Public Information Office as well.
