Issued in Arabic on 22 January 1951 by the Ministry of Health in Jerusalem, this document shows Emile Ashrawi's birth certificate. Bearing the UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees) stamp (on 2 September 1964), the certificate features the name of Emile's father, Sam‘an Ibrahim ‘Ashrawy, and his mother, Salwa ʿudeh Hallaq.
