Printed in Arabic, this document shows a letter from Elyas Kusa to al-Ittihad Newspaper Editor about a piece published in the Jerusalem Post on 6 August 1950 that includes an appeal to foreign animal welfare associations to pressure the Jordanian government to allow food to the zoo in the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Simultaneously in al-Ittihad Newspaper, a piece was published on the death of a child from Tamra because the Military Governor denied her father a travel permit. As a result, the Jerusalem Post replied that the news in al-Ittihad was incorrect.
