"Registration of Beduin Land in Bir al-Sabi' ", a Letter by Elyas Kusa to the Editor of the Jerusalem Post, November 1954
Addressed by Elyas Kusa to the Editor of the Jerusalem Post on 12 November 1954, this formal letter was written regarding the registration of Beduin land in Bir al-Sabi' . In his letter, Kusa states that this project is susceptible particularly with the arrest of the three sons of the paramount Beduin Chief, Sheikh Sulayman al-Hazi, the confiscation of 14,000 dunams of land and allocating them to Jewish settlements, and the displacement of the Beduin of Bir al-Sabi' and An-Naqab on the grounds that the project aims at eliminating the feudal system.
