"Permission to Enter the Galilee Area", a Letter by Elyas Kusa to the Editor of the Jerusalem Post, February 1960

Addressed by Elyas Kusa to the Editor of the Jerusalem Post on 24 February 1960, this formal letter answers whether or not Kusa was denied entry to the Galilee area by the Military Governor. Kusa responds that he was given permanent permission except on three occasions: to participate in a protest in the village of Arraba, to attend the funeral of the mother of the Mayor of Nazareth, and to accompany Boulus Boulus from Biʿna village to the police station at Majd al-Krum.
