"Bourguiba and the Arab World", a Letter from Elyas Kusa to the Editor of The Jerusalem Post, 1965
Printed in English, this document features a letter from Elyas Kusa to the editor of the Jerusalem Post-previously known as "the Palestine Post". It encloses an article written by Kusa on 25 May 1965 entitled " Bourguiba and the Arab World", in which he talks about Bourguiba's Peace initiative by seeking direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Refugees based on the UN's Resolution in 1947. Kusa, in his article, questions the honesty of Bourguiba's initiative and criticizes it; as the Palestinian Refugees are represented by the PLO which is led by Ahamd al-Shukeiri throughout the negotiations, whereas he stated that the PLO is seeking an absolute liberation and doesn't acknowledge Israel, nor the representation of refugees by Amin al-Husseini during the process of negotiations, as al-Husseini seeks to extract every jew in Palestine. In his article, Kusa expresses the odds of the approval of Daivid " " serving as the Head of the Knesset Committee for Foreign Affairs and Force regarding this initiative.
