"Audacity", a Newspaper Clipping from Al-Ittihad, February 1957

Dated February 19, 1957, this newspaper clipping is an article from Al-Ittihad entitled "Audacity" under the column "A Glimpse." The column discusses a statement made by Yaʿqub Uthman, the Representative of Sudan to the United Nations, during a discussion of a report by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees on the Israeli government's oppression of Palestinians in the 1948 Occupied Territory. During the discussion, the Israeli Representative responded by inviting the Sudanese Representative to visit Israel to asses the situation by himself. Ilyas Kusa wrote to Uthman urging him to accept the invitation on the condition of having the freedom of movement and communication with Palestinian representatives.
