A Letter from Ilyas Kusa to Tawfiq Mʿammar, November 1965
Dated November 1, 1965, this printed letter in Arabic was sent from Ilyas Kusa to Tawfiq Mʿammar on the subject of boycotting the Israeli elections. Kusa stresses the importance of forming a unified front that represents Palestinians away from the influence of the Israeli Communist party and refutes the notion that abstaining from voting means giving one's vote to the government parties. He also mentions Al-Ard Movement and his opposition to the movement's practices. Instead, Kusa asserts the key role of Arab intellectuals in the 1948 Occupied Territory to defend the rights of Palestinians and calls for establishing a unified Arab newspaper.
