This document shows a statement by Uri Davis and Itzhak Tzamah in solidarity with Bassam ash-Shakʿa, mayor of Nablus, after his arrest by the Israeli occupation forces and their attempt to deport him in November 1979. In the statement, they announced their hunger strike in protest until his release and the cancellation of the deportation order.
