Issue 253 of the Attali'ah Weekly, 6 January 1983

Published on 6 January 1983, this document shows issue 253 of the Attali'ah Weekly, whose editor-in-chief was Bashir al-Barghouthi and which was printed at the Salah ad-Din Press in Jerusalem. This issue contained numerous subjects, including the consolidation by the Soviet Union of Syria's force against the US and the Israeli Occupation State; the displacement of the inhabitants of the Canada camp as per the Egyptian-Israeli agreements; carrying out mass arrests and raids into libraries and closure of schools; in addition to the threat of closure and bankruptcy to the textile industry. It also contained several political, economic and social news items, and dedicated a section to sports, arts and cultural news.
