Issue 260 of the Attali'ah Weekly, 24 February 1983

Published on 24 February 1983, this document shows issue 260 of the Attali'ah Weekly, whose editor-in-chief was Bashir al-Barghouthi and which was printed at the Salah ad-Din Press in Jerusalem. This issue contained numerous subjects, including the thwarting Reagan and his followers' endeavour by the Palestinian National Council and reaffirmation of its commitment to the goal of the independent state, an Israeli scheme to shut down the Old Town in Nablus, the introduction of a new amendment expanding the scope of the order prohibiting planting fruitful trees to include the prohibition on growing vegetables, the official declaration on the expansion of the colonies in the Jordan Valley as far as the seam line with Jordan. It also contained several political, economic and social news items, and dedicated a section to sports, arts and cultural news.
