"Giv'at Rambam", ʿĀdel az-Zawaty, a Paper Clipping

Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Giv'at Rambam", a colony established on the depopulated village of "Sarona", an Arab village located north-east of Jaffa, on the main road from Jaffa - Tel Aviv to the town of Majdal Yaba in the east, passing by the Petah Tikva colony. The village is connected through paved roads with the villages of Sal'a, al-Mas'udiyya, and Yazur. The word "Sarona" comes from the Canaanite word "Saron (the plain)". The village was where a German colony was established in 1871 AD. In 1948, Zionists displaced its people and related it to the municipality of the "Tel Aviv" colony.
