"Sarona", ʿĀdel az-Zawaty, a Paper Clipping
Handwritten in Arabic, this paper clipping documents the name of "Sarona", a colony established in 1948 on the depopulated village of Sarona and it served as the first headquarters of the Israeli Occupation government. In 1958, the colony was a centre serving the Hebrew University and before that, in 1936, the British used it as a police station, but later that same year freedom fighters carried out an attack and bombed it.
