Taken in 2005, this colour photograph shows the audience during the theatrical performance "Bayad al-Aynayn (The Whites of Your Eyes)". Written by ʾAyman Ighbareyyeh and directed by Munir Bakreyyeh, the play tells the story of a hit-and-run carried out against the son of a Palestinian worker from Jenin. Produced by al-Midan Theatre, the play sheds light on such horrific events carried out and hushed-up by Jews in the 1948 Palestinian Occupied Territories. The play features ʾEyad Shtay, Hanan Hillo, Nisrin Faʿur, Āmal Qays and Jawad Abdel-Ghani as actors.
