Taken in 2005, this colour photograph shows ʾEyad Shtay backstage with the hairdresser before the theatrical performance of the "Bayad al-Aynayn [The Whites of Your Eyes]" play. Written by ʾAyman Ighbareyyeh and directed by Munir Bakreyyeh, the play tells the story of a hit-and-run carried out against the son of a Palestinian worker from Jenin. Produced by al-Midan Theatre, the play sheds light on such horrific events carried out and hushed-up by Jews in the 1948 Palestinian Occupied Territories.
