"Nablus Electricity Network", a Letter from Bassam ash-Shakʿa to Tulkarm Mayor, 18 February 1982
Written in Arabic, this document shows a letter from Bassam ash-Shakʿa, Mayor of Nablus, to the Mayor of Tulkarm on 18 February 1982 about military orders no. 427 and 602 regarding impeding the extension of the electricity network to villages. In the letter, ash-Shakʿa also states that the military governor was loaded for bear to stop the instalment of power lines to a quarry and in addition to detaining eighteen engineers and workers in the said project. The Israeli governor also removed the Rujeib overhead power line, linked Sebastia by force to the Israeli electricity network, and called up the contractor and workers at the overhead power line project in an-Naqura.
