"Facts Made Clear by the Second Intifada", an Article by Bassam Ash-Shakʿa, 2000-2010
Handwritten by Bassam ash-Shakʿa, this two-page document discusses a collection of facts made clear by the Second Palestinian Intifada as follows: (1) The Intifada brought back the Palestinian cause its liberty-seeking and humanitarian depth as well as its nationalist and international dimensions. (2) Territorializing Arab policies, having bilateral and lateral agreements with Arab states and the Palestinian Authority and having Israel view the Arab states as a military baseline and production tool are examples of the dominance placed over the Arab region. (3) Filtering out the Palestinian cause equals to filtering out movements toward freedom and an Arab revival and development, as the effects of the Oslo Accords do not differ from the aftermath of the Gulf crisis. (4) Sharon's troops breaking in al-Aqsa Mosque and his success as Israel's Prime Minister have emphasized the elements of the Oslo Accords' failure to achieve peace. (5) Holding onto the will to achieve freedom and national independence and advancement is the key to true peace.
