The three hundred and forty-second issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on September 20, 1984. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 12-page issue covers the following: 1. A massive rally in the West Bank to commemorate the anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre. 2. An article on Israeli settlers threatening to keep terrorizing Palestinians in the West Bank. 3. Israeli settlers hold a protest at the heart of Nablus pushing for the issue of settlement to be on the Israeli government agenda. 4. An article on the Israeli intelligence agencies having prior knowledge about the bombs planted by Israeli terrorists on Arab buses. 5. A section entitled “The Chronicles of the West Bank and Gaza Strip” including these entries “Telephone Lines are Down in Battir,” “Problems Arise in as-Sawahira ash-Sharqiya due to Uncollected Garbage,” “The Numbers of Patients in Gaza Rises amid a Medicine Shortage,” “The High Costs of Olive Oil Marketing in Tulkarem,” “The Issue of Water Shortage in the West Bank.” 6. A shortage in school textbooks, moving students from one place to another, and the expensive financial burdens suffered by the schools in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. 7. Students, Academics, and the Board of Trustees at An-Najah National University reject the conditions of the Israeli Coordinator of Government Activities in the Occupied Palestinian Territories for the reopening of the University. 8. An article entitled “Two Years since the Sabra and Shatila Massacre… Those behind the Massacre Failed to Turn the Clock Back.” 9. Several events held across the Occupied Palestinian Territory in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners and calls for the formation of an International Commission of Inquiry to look into their conditions. 10. The Palestinian Medical Relief Society holds a free medical day in Beit Furik. 11. A section on workersʾ news.
