The three hundred and forty-third issue of Attali'ah Newspaper which was published on September 27, 1984. Bashir al-Barghuthy is the issueʾs editor-in-chief, and it was printed in Salah ad-Din Press in al-Quds (Jerusalem). The 12-page issue covers the following: 1. Calls between the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the Settlement Council (Yesha) to expand Israeli settlement in Hebron. 2. The families of Palestinian prisoners continue their sit-in at the Red Cross offices and a massive public campaign in solidarity with the prisoners on a hunger strike. 3. A news article on the residents of Dheisheh Palestinian Refugee Camp stopping an Israeli bus carrying Israeli settlers that raided some of the campʾs houses. 4. A section entitled “The Chronicles of the West Bank and Gaza Strip” including these entries “A Rise in the Cost of Building Permits,” “Houses under the Threat of Demolition,” “The Arbitrary Arrest of a Palestinian because of a Mistake in Names,” and “Land Seizures in Qalqilya.” 5. A feature story on the severe water crisis in the Jordan Valley area as farmers begin to prepare for the winter planting season. 6. A feature story on the conflict between the owners of land in Beit Amin and the two Israeli companies Ashdar and Davka. 7. A section on the latest news of trade unions in the West Bank.
