Printed in Salah ad-Din Press with Bashir al-Barghuthy as the managing editor, this 12-page issue no. 532 of Attaliʾah Newspaper was issued on 12 May 1988 and features the following news pieces: Under the cover of the U.S. veto at the Security Council, Rabin speaks of a news strategy in Southern Lebanon.  Confiscating ID cards in Gaza Strip following an imposed curfew and the gathering of citizens. Murphy: Arms deals to strengthen the Shultz initiative.  A witness: Shiloh settlers cold-bloodedly killed the Palestinian herder. An article by Bashir al-Barghuthy titled, "Let the Arab work take its effect and the summit take place with no interruptions." Six months of the Intifada.  The shuhadaʾ of week 22.  Watermelon farmers prevented from selling their produce.  Well-known rabbi demands Israel the right for the Palestinian people to decide their fate. From the repercussions of the Intifada: U.S. gas company discontinues its products to Israel.  Entire villages under water and power cuts. New areas under military siege. A rise in third world debts. Distinguished official in the United States Department of State: “The Israeli military operation in Southern Lebanon offers a chance to reimpose the U.S. solution in the area.” The Intifada drags Shultz to the area once more.  Shamir: Two strikes for the latest Lebanon operation.
