A Video Documenting the Performance of "Syrian Monologues", Produced by Ashtar Theatre in Germany

A video documenting the performance of "Syrian Monologues", a play produced by Ashtar Theatre in Germany. The Syrian Monologues are consisted of theatrical readings based on a set of stories written by Syrian refugees in Jordan, and it speaks for the tragic incidents and sheds a light on the testimonials of these refugees, and the journey of exile.  The work varies between a humourous act supported by the character of the narrator, the narrative, and the interactive theatre; each is given by written stories named after a certain Syrian place for the audience.  Among such monologues or the stories of the Syrian War, one can find a collective narration of the families fleeing from deadly zones to safer heavens' where stories are shedding light on the interaction of the neighbors between each other in the times were meat and cigarettes or any kind of candy become valuable objects, a third monologue also documents the constant war diaries endorsed by its humanitarian manifestations and the pain it holds within, in addition to stolen smiles coated with anxiety born from the womb of upcoming days...  This is the tale of war as told by its original tellers and it resembles the Syrian origin, and differs in details, despite the supremacy of the common odour of blood and gunpowder, and shakes of fear in diverse human sizes.  Directed by: Eman Awn and Edward al-Mou'alem.  Technician: Mohammad Ali.
