A video clip documenting the performance of "Kufur Shamma", a play written and directed by Francois abu Salem, in Amsterdam, 1989. Francois tackles the tragedy of the Palestinian villages destroyed by the Israeli occupation through displaying the story of a fictional Palestinian village called "Kufur Shamma", invaded and confiscated of its own remains. The play was created with reference to "Beit Zaki", a play presented in 1968 in collective writing and directed by Francois, which tackles the story of a destroyed village from which its people were forcefully displaced.
