The History of PFWAC Projects (Before and After the Intifada)
Found in the Siham al-Barghuthy Collection and written in English, this document shows the history of the projects affiliated with the Palestinian Federation of Women's Action Committees before and after the Intifada. Before the Intifada, the goal of such projects was to help support, free, and empower women both financially and socially through providing them with work in sewing and wool factories as well as holding 6-months workshops in said professions. After the Intifada, the goal shifted to include women in planning processes, providing job opportunities in other professional fields, and the formation of cooperative societies supervised and managed by women.
