"Bassam Shak'a Receives Guests Celebrating His Return to Palestine", a Newspaper Cutting, 1980
Printed in Arabic, this document shows a newspaper cutting featuring two black-and-white photographs of Nablus Mayor Bassam Shak'a upon his return from treatment in England following an Israeli assassination attempt in June 1980 which cost him his legs. The first photograph captures Shak'a hugging a child while the second shows him on a wheelchair surrounded by a group of men.
