A Collection of Poems by Fatima al-Muhib

Found in the Omar al-Jallad Collection, this handwritten document shows several papers, where artist Fatima al-Muhib wrote a collection of poems titled: “Tomorrow We Will Break All Chains” where she speaks of her dream to end the occupation and gain freedom. “A Monologue and a Prayer” where she speaks and prays to God. “Salahuddin’s Retrieval of Jerusalem” where she describes how the commander Salahuddin al-Ayyoubi entered with his army into Jerusalem. This fourth poem came from the muse of a painting she drew of the Nile river and the pyramids. “A Picture of My Life” where she speaks of her thoughts and her lover. “Mother’s Day” where she speaks of Mother’s Day. “Summer Vacation” where she describes summer and its activities. “The Generation of the Future” where she speaks of family love. “My Home Palestine” where she describes Palestine as a home and the cradle of prophets. “Jerusalem, the City of Peace” where she describes Jerusalem, its sites and her love for it.
