The Continuation of the Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 26 December 1939
Handwritten, this archival item documents the continuation of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Tuesday 26 December 1939, where he inaugurated his diary by mentioning that he, his sister Millia, and daughters; Dummia and Hala visited the cemetery and scattered some flowers, he also mentioned a dream of his saying it was crazy and beyond imagination; as he was flying from one house to another, then he wrote about the visit to Salem Hamdan and George Khamis where they all spoke about life and death, Assakakini concluded his diary by mentioning that Dafi and his family went on a Christmas vacation for Tiberias, then he continued listing the virtues of his wife Sultana; how beautiful, tender, and open-minded she was and wished that his children will turn out to be like her, and Sari gets married to a woman like his mother.
