Handwritten, this archival item documents the continuation of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Sunday 31 December 1939, where he mentioned going with his sister Milia, Dumia and Hala to the cemetery and spreading flowers, the overwhelming sadness after Sultana's death, Adel Jaber and George Khmayyes visiting him, receiving a telegram from Asheel paying his respects for the death of Sultana and at the end of his diary, writing several verses to end the year.
