Diaries of Khalil Sakakini, 4 January 1940
Handwritten, this archival item documents the continuation of the diaries of Khalil Sakakini on Thursday 4 January 1940, where he mentioned going with his sister Milia, Dumia and Hala to the cemetery and spreading flowers, returning to his letters with Sultana in 1908, which all included longing, compassion and love to the degree of worship, praising her and comparing her to eastern and western girls, while she would always elevate above all, and in the evening, Davi, Fakhri Jawhareyyeh, the family of his cousin Hanna, Najla and her husband Basil visiting him.
