Handwritten, this archival item documents the diaries of Khalil Sakakini from 17 to 31 July 1943, where he wrote on Friday, 30 July 1943, Dumia and Hala having Arabic language lessons preparing for the American University of Beirut exams.  Then he wrote his diaries from 17 to 31 July 1943, on Saturday, 31 July 1943, mentioning the visit of Mustafa al-khaldy, the mayor, Fawzi Bey, the Consul of Egypt, and Shukri Bey, the Consul of Iraq to greet Mahmoud Azmi.  As on Tuesday, 3 August 1943, he went to Abu Ghosh with Mitri and Mahmoud Azmi.
